Ndudi Chuku is the Executive Director of Mission Africa in Auburn, WA.
The nonprofit organization was founded in 2006 by Ndudi and her husband George to empower children and families locally and globally. The organization provides support in three core areas - education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
Since its inception, Mission Africa has served the African immigrants and low-income families in the South King County communities of WA State and has worked with grassroots entities in the countries of Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Gambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, & Mexico to improve the lives of children and families in local communities. In some of these countries, Mission Africa has established Programs for;
- Scholarship in Education,
- School Feeding,
- Free Healthcare,
- Women Empowerment,
- Agricultural Development,
- Computer Literacy,
- Career Development,
- Economic Empowerment, and
- Family Wellbeing.
In the past decade, Mission Africa has awarded over 150 Tuition Scholarships to students in Nigeria, organized and led yearly Medical Missions to villages in Nigeria, and has shipped approximately 4 million free textbooks to Schools and Public Libraries in nine African countries.
Prior to the inception of Mission Africa, Ndudi served as a Program Assistant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for almost seven years, an employment opportunity that put her in the position to positively impact millions of lives daily, simply by doing her job. Ndudi came to work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from the Seattle Public School system where she rose through the ranks to become a Senior Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Academic Officer.
As a seasoned Administrative Expert, Ndudi has worked with diverse teams to successfully implement meaningful programs and achieve administrative goals. In over two decades, she has acquired extensive expertise in planning events, convening large groups, organizing complex travel schedules, and managing the day-to-day operations for teams of high-level professionals.
Ndudi is an ordained Minister in the Christian Faith, and with her husband George Ikoro Chuku, pastored International Living Word Ministries Church in Kent Washington for 10 years. Ndudi is active in her community. She served as the Director for Seattle Outreach Ministries for 2 years; and 3 years as a Board Member of Habitat for Humanity, Seattle King County. She also volunteers at several organizations in her community.
