Uche Abakporo loves to create, optimize, and scale products and solutions that solve customer problems. In order to do so, he has spent a huge portion of his career honing his skills as a problem solver by identifying customer personas, understanding pain points, and prioritizing solutions that meet their needs while minimizing risks and tradeoffs.
In order to ruthlessly satisfy customers, Uche has worked in many capacities and roles that have been increasingly customer facing, from Design Engineering to Product Management, and now Product Marketing.
Right after college, he worked as a Design Engineer for Toyota - a role which enabled him to see first-hand how engineers use customer feedback to continuously improve both the form and function of a vehicle in order to ensure high customer satisfaction. His next role as a Product Manager at Amazon enabled him to develop solutions for sellers by providing a platform to list, promote, discover, sell, and ship goods and services to millions of customers. And in his most recent role as a Product Marketer at Facebook, he works to enable large businesses and enterprises with products and solutions they need to maximize their advertising outcomes on the platform.
Outside of work, Uche is passionate about programs that help bridge the opportunity gap in corporate America, especially tech. He works as a mentor for various youth organizations including Community for Youth, a local Seattle non-profit that works to inspire and support students to be their best selves through mentoring, learning experiences, and a powerful community. He is also an avid runner and cyclist; you might spot him out on the trails in the Pacific Northwest (if you look hard enough).
