Gordon Banks graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science. He was a track star for the Cardinals in the late 70s and played WR for the football team. At the end of his collegiate career, Gordon signed a contract to play in the NFL in 1980. Gordon played for the New Orleans Saints, the Oakland Invaders (USFL) and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed 8 seasons of professional football catching 215 passes for 2958 yards with a dozen touchdowns.
After football Gordon began a successful career in the oil and gas business with fellow Dallas Cowboy, Tony Hill. He enjoyed many successful years in the business arena before accepting the call to ministry. Gordon, along with his lovely wife Derozette oversee a thriving multicultural, multimillion-dollar, non-profit ministry located on 25 acres near Seattle Washington. They have five children: Danielle, Joshua, Joseph, Judah and Jeremiah.
Gordon was raised in south central Los Angeles by his mother. His father died a month before he was born in a tragic work-related accident. Gordon is an outstanding communicator and encourages people to take the steps necessary to overcome in life. He believes that working together we can become instruments of transformation and reconciliation in our world.
