Volunteering in 2022
As a volunteer at Mission Africa for four years, I have learnt to embrace my humanity, despite my shortcomings. Thank you Mission Africa for making me a superhero.

Volunteering in 2019
Yes, just like every other person, I was very happy. My face was full of uncontrollable smile and laughter. I was overjoyed. But why? Could it had been as a result of the monetary remuneration I receive as a volunteer at Mission Africa? Or because I saw people who I've not seen in a while? Unfortunately, that was not the case. I don't get paid for volunteering with Mission Africa neither do I get as happy as I was seeing people after a long while. Then, what was different about yesterday? Mission Africa gave me a gift. The gift of the " *HUMANITARIAN* ". An opportunity to help humanity. Truth is, Mission Africa would have been doing me a grave disservice if I had been paid for working with her. I would have been robbed of the satisfaction and fulfillment I felt after our trip to Abia state. I would have been robbed of the opportunity to make friends with selfless people like Dr. Charles, Amara, Juliet, Tony, Paschal(my roommate), Christie, Ifeanyi, Olachi, Pst. Richard, Darlington, Kingsley(RIP) and a host of others, and probably end up with people who only volunteer for money. Mission Africa brought together men and women who share a common interest- to make humanity better. Now I have an answer to my question. I was happy because I didn't just meet people who shared the same interest with me, but we became family. I was happy because I was part of the success story of Mission Africa. And I am sure that is why all the faces at the Zoom meeting were beaming with smiles and laughters. Thank you Mission Africa for using people to help people. For using humanity to help humanity, for using the imperfections of your volunteers to perfect a messed up world. Thank you for making us matter. I can categorically state that I speak the mind of all the volunteers when I say, "Thank you for this wonderful opportunity and we are with you and for the work you do". *Thank you* Mr & Mrs Chuku, Dr. Winston, Ma Denise and other members of the board. Keep changing lives, one village at a time.

To know that I am a part of the great influence and change Mission Africa is making, is priceless to me. 
Looking at the faces of the volunteers yesterday, I thought to myself, "why are their faces beaming with so much smiles and happiness?".
