Samuel Ssenyimba is Ugandan and a global development professional with 18+ years of experience in the areas of agriculture, development finance and impact investing.
He is currently with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where he serves as a senior program officer in the Agriculture Development team.
Prior to joining BMGF he managed the East Africa portfolio of a global impact fund; and before that held progressive roles in the microfinance and rural development space.
Samuel holds an MSc. Development Finance from University of Reading- UK and a BSc. Agriculture Economics from Makerere University - Uganda.
He has served as an advisor on the Africa Board Fellowship Program as well as several non-profit boards; most recently the Financial Sector Deepening Program in Uganda.
He is passionate about coffee, nature photography and soccer.
