Volunteering with Mission Africa was a life transforming experience for me. To see hundreds and thousands of people- children, youths, adults, and the elderly light up with hope. To see them break down in tears of appreciation, grateful that someone out there cares enough to make a difference. I think this is what life should be; taking down the barriers of culture, religion or social status and reaching out to the next person.
Among the volunteers, the experience turned us into one BIG family looking out for each other. It was a worthwhile experience.
